International Journal of Mechanics and Thermodynamics is a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal devoted to the advancement of knowledge in mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, and related thermal sciences. The journal provides a forum for researchers, engineers, and academics to present original theoretical, numerical, and experimental investigations addressing fundamental and applied problems in thermal and fluid systems.

The journal welcomes research that contributes to the understanding, modelling, analysis, measurement, and application of thermal and fluid phenomena, including developments in computational methods, experimental techniques, and engineering applications.

Aim and Scope: The journal covers a broad range of topics in mechanics, thermodynamics, thermal sciences, and fluid engineering, including, but not limited to:

Fluid mechanics and fluid dynamics
Engineering thermodynamics
Heat transfer and thermal transport
Mass transfer and combined heat and mass transfer
Fluid flow and internal flow phenomena
Aerothermodynamics and flow in engineering systems
Multiphase flow and transport phenomena
Turbulence, turbulence modelling, and flow instability
Combustion and reacting flows
Thermophysical properties of fluids and materials
Computational fluid dynamics and numerical methods

The journal considers theoretical analyses, numerical investigations, experimental studies, computational modelling, and interdisciplinary research that provide significant insight into thermal, fluid, and thermodynamic phenomena and their engineering applications.

The International Journal of Mechanics and Thermodynamics aims to facilitate the dissemination of technically sound research and encourage the exchange of knowledge among researchers and practitioners working across the fields of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and thermal sciences.

Types of Contributions
Research Articles: Research Articles should present original and substantive findings based on theoretical, computational, analytical, methodological, or experimental investigations. Manuscripts should provide sufficient description of the research methodology, analytical procedures, computational methods, experimental procedures, and results to permit appropriate scholarly evaluation and, where applicable, facilitate reproducibility.
Short Communications: Short Communications are intended for concise reports of significant and well-defined research findings. They may present results from focused investigations, new models or hypotheses, innovative methods or techniques, or other developments of clear relevance to industrial engineering and technology. Their presentation may be more concise than that of a full Research Article while maintaining appropriate methodological and scholarly standards.
Review Articles: The journal welcomes Review Articles that provide systematic, critical, and well-structured examinations of significant developments in areas within the journal's scope. Reviews should synthesize relevant scholarly literature, identify established findings and areas of continuing investigation, and provide an informed assessment of the development of the subject. Review Articles are subject to the journal's peer-review process.
