International Journal of Photonics (IJP) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal devoted to research and developments in photonics, optical technologies, laser systems, optoelectronics, and lightwave technologies. The journal provides a forum for original theoretical, experimental, computational, and applied research addressing the generation, manipulation, transmission, detection, and application of light.

The journal welcomes contributions covering the fundamental principles, materials, design, fabrication, packaging, characterization, and manufacturing of optical, photonic, and optoelectronic devices and systems, as well as their applications in science, engineering, communications, and related fields.

The journal welcomes theoretical studies, numerical and computational investigations, experimental research, device development, and applied studies addressing fundamental or practical problems in photonics and related optical technologies.

The International Journal of Photonics aims to facilitate the dissemination of technically sound research and promote the exchange of knowledge among researchers, academics, engineers, and practitioners working across the fields of photonics, optics, lasers, and optoelectronics.

Types of Contributions
Research Articles: Research Articles should present original and substantive findings based on theoretical, computational, analytical, methodological, or experimental investigations. Manuscripts should provide sufficient description of the research methodology, analytical procedures, computational methods, experimental procedures, and results to permit appropriate scholarly evaluation and, where applicable, facilitate reproducibility.

Short Communications: Short Communications are intended for concise reports of significant and well-defined research findings. They may present results from focused investigations, new models or hypotheses, innovative methods or techniques, or other developments of clear relevance to electrical and electronics engineering. Their presentation may be more concise than that of a full Research Article while maintaining appropriate methodological and scholarly standards.

Review Articles: The journal welcomes Review Articles that provide systematic, critical, and well-structured examinations of significant developments in areas within the journal's scope. Reviews should synthesize relevant scholarly literature, identify established findings and areas of continuing investigation, and provide an informed assessment of the development of the subject. Review Articles are subject to the journal's peer-review process.
